Citrefine International is Northern Powerhouse Export Award Finalist

We are delighted to have reached the finals of the prestigious Northern Powerhouse Export Awards. The inaugural awards evening – which took place in February 2017 – celebrated companies and entrepreneurs in the North of England who are flying the flag for The Northern Powerhouse by excelling in international trade and export.

Jacqueline Watson, Managing Director of Citrefine International Ltd, comments:

We believe international trade and export is a key part of supporting the UK’s economic growth agenda. We have worked intensively to maximise our export potential since our launch over 20 years ago and today we export to almost 40 countries across the globe.

Citriodiol®, our proven, naturally sourced insect repellent active ingredient (made from Eucalyptus citriodora oil) has become synonymous with effective bite prevention across the world.  Reaching the finals in the Small Exporter of the Year category was a fantastic achievement as it recognised companies, and the people within them, who have innovated and led the way in exporting. We could not have been more thrilled.

David Robinson CE of awards sponsors - PD Ports - comments:

As Government’s Northern Powerhouse continues to gain momentum amidst a challenging economic climate, the rebalancing of trade coupled with the development of new opportunities to deliver economic growth and investment remains of critical importance to the North. Exporting will undoubtedly be a major catalyst in delivering the Northern Powerhouse and these awards recognised the achievements of the North’s exporters and the wider supporting supply chain.
