Mosi-guard Natural® is celebrating two decades in business with a fresh new look. The revitalised branding features across the entire portfolio from a refreshed logo, and new packaging, to a revamped website featuring regular, informative summer and travel health articles.
Mosi-guard Natural® was founded in 1994 by Paul Clarke, a Doctor of Tropical Diseases and Ian Hughes-Guy. Via their network of national travel clinics, which specialised in travel health and vaccine supply, Dr Clark and Ian had in-depth insight into the needs of travellers wishing to protect themselves against tropical diseases and insect bites.
They soon realised there was a demand for an effective alternative to DEET repellents. And so Mosi-guard Natural® was born, at the same time bucking the trend in terms of repellent protection with its effective, yet natural formulation.
With earthy green tones to convey Mosi-guard Natural’s® natural credentials, the new branding also features a yellow droplet in a nod to its efficacy tested active ingredient, Citriodiol®.
Citriodiol® is derived from eucalyptus citriodora essential oil - is the only natural, sustainably sourced active ingredient recommended by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Also known as Oil of Lemon Eucalyptus (OLE) under its US Environmental Protection Agency registration, Citriodiol® has been efficacy tested in over 35 laboratory and field studies around the world, against 26 different species of biting insects.
The newly launched Mosi-guard Natural® website will also feature regular articles sharing summer and travel health information as well as an online shop.
Jacqueline Watson, Mosi-guard Natural's MD comments: “Today Mosi-guard Natural® is sold worldwide. It contains the only plant-based insect repellent active ingredient, scientifically proven to work as effectively as synthetic repellents such as DEET and better than other plant-based repellents. The feedback so far has been very positive and we could not think of a more fitting way to celebrate our 20th season in business.”
